Students order 0.7, 3/4, 65% and 0.68 by changing each one to a decimal: 3/4 is 75/100 or 0.75, 65% is 65/100 or 0.65, and 0.7 becomes 0.70. Comparing them as hundredths shows that 0.70 is greater than 0.68 even though 0.68 has more digits, so the order from least to greatest is 65%, 0.68, 0.7, 3/4, and the video ends on the recap "Change them all to decimals, then compare".

What the lesson says
How do we put 0.7, three quarters, 65 percent and 0.68 in order, from least to greatest?
They are written in different forms, so first write every one of them as a decimal.
Three quarters is the same as 75 hundredths, so as a decimal it is 0.75.
Percent means out of 100, so 65 percent is 65 hundredths, which is 0.65.
0.7 and 0.68 are already decimals, so bring them straight down.
Writing 0.7 as 0.70 keeps its value and gives all four two decimal places.
Now compare them as hundredths: 70, 75, 65 and 68.
So 0.7 is greater than 0.68, even though 0.68 has more digits.
From least to greatest, the decimals are 0.65, 0.68, 0.70 and 0.75.
Then write each number back in the form it was given in.
So from least to greatest, the order is 65 percent, 0.68, 0.7 and three quarters.
To order fractions, decimals and percents, change them all to decimals first, then compare.
