For families

One sign-in for the family.
A profile for each child.

A family account holds a profile for every child under one email and password. You see the teacher's announcements, the work your child hands in and the reflections a teacher has reviewed. Your child's answers stay private to them, and there is no advertising and no sale of data anywhere on the site.

  • No advertising
  • No sale of data
  • Answers private to the child

The family account

One sign-in for the family. One key to look after.

Sign up with your own email and a password, then choose the Student and parent dashboard. Each child gets a profile of their own under your sign-in, with no second email and no second password.

  • A profile per child

On a shared tablet, sign in once and pick who is using it. Each child's games, homework and progress are kept apart from the others'.
  • The parent view

The teacher's announcements, the work your child hands in and the reflections a teacher has reviewed, in one place, as the teacher posts them.
  • Answers that stay with the child

Your child's answers in a quiz are seen by the child and the teacher. We think a child should be able to get a question wrong without an audience.

The parent portal

What you see as a parent, and what you do not.

A parent portal should help you follow along without reading over a child's shoulder.

Announcements
What the teacher posts to the class: the week ahead, a reminder, a date to remember. They appear in your portal as the teacher posts them.
Work
The work your child has handed in through the class, so you know what has been done and what is still open.
Reviewed reflections
Students write reflections on their learning. The ones a teacher has reviewed appear in your portal.
What you do not see
Your child's answers in a quiz. They belong to the child, and the teacher sees the results for the class.
What nobody sees
There is no advertising anywhere, so no advertiser learns anything about your child. We do not sell data, and no outside AI model is trained on student work.

Safe by design

Four sentences we can stand behind today, and nothing we cannot.

The platform is designed around British Columbia's privacy laws, PIPA and FIPPA. Collecting less is the default, and every sensitive change to a record is written to an audit log that cannot be edited or erased.

No advertising
There are no adverts on Knowledge Made Fun, on any page, for any account.
No sale of data
We do not sell personal information. Your family's details are not a product.
No outside AI trained on your child's work
The AI tools draft things for teachers; they do not learn from your child, and no outside model is trained on student work.
Nickname classes and login cards at school
A school can run a nickname class, where the server invents a name for each student and keeps no personal detail, or print login cards for young students without an email. A family account at home is separate from that, and a family can have both.

School and home

Working with your child's teacher.

The games and homework a teacher shares are free for every student, so a whole class can use Knowledge Made Fun without any family paying.

  1. 01

    A class code

A teacher shares a class code; your child enters it from their profile to join the class. The teacher's games, homework and announcements then reach that profile.
  2. 02

    Or an invite

A teacher can also invite a student directly. Either way, the teacher's live games and homework are always free to join.
  3. 03

    Letters home

Teachers write letters home from the same place they teach. Nothing is sent to you without the teacher sending it.
  4. 04

    Announcements and settings

Announcements appear in your portal as the teacher posts them. If your child needs extra time, captions, read aloud, large print or a calm display, the teacher can set it for them, and it applies wherever they play. Ask the teacher.

Questions

Questions families ask.

Do I need a family account if my child's teacher already uses Knowledge Made Fun?
No. The games and homework a teacher shares are free for every student. A family account adds the parent portal, a profile for each child at home and three lesson videos a day for each of them, with Plus for every video.
Can one child see another child's work?
No. Each profile keeps its own games, homework and progress.
Will my child see advertising?
No. There is no advertising anywhere on Knowledge Made Fun.
Is there an app to install?
Knowledge Made Fun runs in the browser on a phone, a tablet or a laptop, so there is nothing to install.
Can my child use it without giving a real name?
At school, yes: a teacher can run a nickname class or print login cards, so no name is stored. At home, a profile sits under your own account.
What happens after the free month?
You choose Plus or you do not, and nothing is charged until you choose. The account moves to the Free plan by itself: the games and homework a teacher shares, three lesson videos a day and the Brain Zone games in the app.

One sign-in for everyone at the table.

Add a profile for each child and see what they are learning this week. The Free plan is free forever, and every new account starts with 30 days of Plus free, with no card.
