About Knowledge Made Fun
Attention for every student, and a calmer day for the teacher.
Knowledge Made Fun is a quiz, lesson and worksheet platform for classrooms from Kindergarten to Grade 12. This page explains why it exists, how we think about teaching, what it is built on, and the rules we keep about children's privacy.
How we teach
Short lessons, practice as play, feedback the same day.
Four habits shape everything on the platform. They are old habits from good classrooms; the platform only makes them quicker.
Short lessons
A lesson video is a few minutes long and narrated, with captions and a transcript, so a student can watch it twice and a teacher can attach a quiz to it for the class.Retrieval through games
Recalling something is what makes it stick. A live quiz asks the class to remember the lesson while it is fresh, with the question on the projector and the answers on each student's own screen.Feedback the same day
Homework marks itself the moment a student finishes, and the results land in the gradebook when the quiz is assigned to a class. The teacher reteaches tomorrow, not in three weeks.Worksheets with proven keys
Paper still matters. Each maths skill has three levels, a worked example and an answer key the computer proves before anything is printed.
Why KMF exists
The scarce thing in a classroom is attention.
A teacher with thirty students has a few minutes of attention for each of them in a day. The students who do well are rarely the ones who work hardest. They are the ones who get noticed when they are stuck, and get a second try while the idea is still warm. Knowledge Made Fun exists to give more students that second try.
It does this in two ways. For students, practice is made to feel like play: a quiz becomes a live game with a join code, a team round or a buzzer round, and a wrong answer costs a point, not an afternoon. For teachers, every game and every piece of homework comes back as results per student and per question, so the teacher can see who needs help before the test rather than after it.
Nothing here replaces the teacher. The platform drafts, times, marks and sorts, and leaves the teaching to the person in the room.
Built on the curriculum
British Columbia from Kindergarten to Grade 7, and topics by region.
Videos and worksheets follow British Columbia
The lesson videos and the worksheets follow the British Columbia curriculum from Kindergarten to Grade 7, in every subject on video and in maths on paper.Quiz topics go wider
A teacher picks a country, a province or state and a grade, and the matching topics load for Canada, the United States, India, the United Kingdom and Australia. A quiz can always be written from scratch, so a class is never limited to the list.
700
short narrated lesson videos, Kindergarten to Grade 7, every subject, with captions and transcripts
100+
maths skills, each at three levels with a worked example and a proven answer key
45
reference and facts sheets to print beside a worksheet
5
countries with quiz topics by province or state and grade
How the lessons are made
One curriculum outcome, one short explainer.
Each lesson is a short animated explainer written for one outcome of the British Columbia curriculum, and it carries that outcome's code so a teacher can see where it sits. Every lesson is narrated, captioned and transcribed, and the transcript is readable as text on the lesson's page.
The lessons are made in British Columbia. The scripts and the animations are produced with software, including AI tools, and a person publishes each one.
The practice questions under a lesson are drafted with AI help and shown only after a person has read them. Maths answers are checked by a program before they are shown.

Privacy and safety
Designed in, not written up afterwards.
A privacy policy says what a company may do. These are the rules the platform is built to follow, in plain words. School leaders will find the longer version on the page for schools.
No advertising
Not on a dashboard, not in a game, not in the app.No sale of data
We do not sell personal information, and we do not pass it to anyone to market to you or to your students. No training on student work
What a student writes or answers is never used to train an outside AI model. The AI drafts for a teacher to edit; it does not learn from children.Answers stay with the child
A student's answers are seen by the student and their teacher. A parent sees announcements, work and reviewed reflections, not the answers.
- Built around British Columbia's privacy laws
- The platform is designed around PIPA and FIPPA, the two laws that govern personal information in British Columbia: collect as little as possible and say what it is for.
- A record of every sensitive change
- Every sensitive change is recorded in an audit log that cannot be edited or erased, so there is always an answer to who did what and when.
- Classes without names
- A teacher can run a nickname class, where the server invents a name for each student and keeps no personal detail about them at all.
- Login cards for the youngest
- Young students who have no email sign in with a printed card from their teacher. The account behind the card holds no typed text about the child.
Who builds it
A small team, close to the classroom.
The characters students make for themselves are the only faces on this site. Nobody here is a real student.
Knowledge Made Fun is built by a small team in British Columbia.
The work is guided by one question: can a teacher use this on a Tuesday morning with a class in front of them? A tool that passes is quick to open, calm on the projector and honest about what it knows.
Principles
What we hold to.
- Say only what is true
- A number appears on this site only when it is true today. When something is in progress, we say so rather than round up.
- The AI proposes, the teacher decides
- Every question the AI drafts is edited by a teacher before a student sees it, and every worksheet answer is proved by the computer before it is printed.
- Games have streaks, grades have reasons
- A live game can have a podium and a streak. The gradebook shows results per student and per question, so a mark always comes with the reason behind it.
- Work without names when you can
- Nickname classes and login cards exist so that a school can use the platform without typing a child's name at all.
- Paper counts
- A worksheet prints cleanly, its key is proven, and the QR code in the footer joins the paper to the screen.
- Calm on the projector
- Tools for the board are large, plain and quiet, with nothing on the screen that is not part of the lesson.
