For students
Join the game.
Keep what you learn.
Your teacher puts a code on the board. You type it in, choose your character and the first question appears on your screen, the same on a phone, a tablet or a laptop. When the game is over you can watch the lesson again and practise on your own.
Make your own character and keep it across games.

A day with Knowledge Made Fun
Four things you will do most. None of them needs a manual.
A code on the board, a homework link, a lesson to watch again and a topic to practise. That is most of a school week here.
Join a game with a code
Your teacher starts a live game and a join code shows on the projector. Type it in, pick your character and wait for the first question.Do the homework
A homework quiz has a due date and an open link, so you can do it at school or at home. It marks itself as you go.Watch the lesson again
Short lesson videos explain a topic in a few minutes, with captions and a transcript you can read.Practise a topic
Pick a topic for your grade and practise on your own. The topics follow the curriculum where you live.
Fair play
Games that are fair to everyone.
A live game should be about what you know, not about whose phone is the newest.
- The clock is kept by us
- The timer for every question runs on Knowledge Made Fun, not on your device. The newest phone and the oldest school laptop in the room play by the same clock.
- The same on every device
- A phone, a tablet or a laptop: the question, the choices and the timer are the same on all of them. If your teacher allows it, you can join a live game as a guest, with no account at all.
- Classic, teams and buzzer
- Classic rounds are every player for themselves. Team rounds add your points to your team's. Buzzer rounds put a buzzer on your screen. The projector shows the question and the standings to the whole room.
- Twelve looks, with music
- There are twelve themes and music to go with them. Your teacher chooses the look for each game, so a game can feel like the ocean one day and outer space the next.
Lessons
Videos short enough to watch again before the bell.
Sometimes a lesson goes by too fast. A lesson video lets you watch it again, as many times as you like.
Short and narrated
Every video is a few minutes long and explains one topic. There are 700 of them, covering British Columbia's curriculum from Kindergarten to Grade 7 in every subject.Captions and a transcript
Read along while you watch, or go back to the exact sentence you missed. Every video has both. The quiz, right under the player
If your teacher attached a quiz to a video, it appears right under the player, so you can check what you remember while it is fresh.
Your work is yours
Your answers are seen by you and your teacher. Nobody else.
Here is what we promise you, in plain words.
- No adverts
- There are no adverts anywhere on Knowledge Made Fun. Not on your dashboard, not in a game, not in the app.
- Nothing about you is sold
- We do not sell anything we know about you to anyone. We do not hand your work to outside companies to teach their AI.
- Your answers
- Your answers in a quiz are seen by you and your teacher. Other players see the scoreboard, not your answers.
- A nickname, if your teacher chooses
- Some teachers use a nickname class. The computer invents a name for you, like Brave Heron or Calm Otter, and keeps no real details about you at all.
- A log nobody can rub out
- Every time a teacher changes something important about your record, it is written in a log that cannot be erased, so there is always a record of who did what.
Your account
Three ways in. You do not need an email of your own.
A card from your teacher, a profile under your family's account, or an account of your own once you are 13.
A login card from your teacher
Younger students who have no email get a printed card with a code on it. Type the code and you are in. There is no name and no password to remember, so keep the code to yourself.A profile under your family's account
A parent holds one family account with a profile for each child. You sign in with the family's sign-in and pick your profile. Your games and progress are kept apart from your brother's or sister's.Your own account from 13
If you have an email address and you are 13 or older, you can create a student account. It is free, with 30 days of Plus free at the start and no card.

A note for the adults.
Every account has the Free plan for as long as you like, with no card: the live games and homework a teacher shares, three lesson videos a day and the Brain Zone games in the app. Every new account also starts with 30 days of Plus free. Plus opens every lesson video, at $12.99 a month or $7.60 a month billed yearly, in US dollars, and a plan is bought by an adult.
We show no advertising, sell no data and train no outside AI model on student work. The platform is designed around British Columbia's privacy laws, PIPA and FIPPA. Read the page for families.
