To save for a $150 bicycle at $20 a week, the video divides the cost by the weekly savings to get 7.5. A savings bar fills one green block per week toward the goal line. It then checks whole weeks: 7 weeks gives $140, which is $10 short, and 8 weeks gives $160, which is enough with $10 left over. So 7.5 is rounded up to 8 weeks, and the video ends on the recap "Cost ÷ savings each week, then round up".

What the lesson says

A bicycle you want costs 150 dollars.

You save 20 dollars of your allowance each week.

How many weeks will it take to save 150 dollars?

Divide the cost by the amount you save each week.

150 divided by 20 is 7.5.

But you save once a week, so check whole weeks.

After 7 weeks, you have 7 times 20, which is 140 dollars.

That is 10 dollars short, so 7 weeks is not enough.

After 8 weeks, you have 8 times 20, which is 160 dollars.

That is enough, with 10 dollars left over.

So round 7.5 up to the next whole number, 8.

It takes 8 weeks to save for the bicycle.

Divide the cost by what you save each week, then round up to a whole week.
