Dots evenly spaced along a line of time show the beat as a steady pulse, with pink long and short bars above it for the rhythm. You hear a tick on each beat and a note for each bar. The same beat is then played fast, with the dots close together, and slow, with the dots far apart, to show that tempo is the speed of the beat.
