Here is one sound. Let's listen.

How can a sound change? Here are two ways.

First, a sound can be high or low.

Climb up the ladder. Each step sounds higher.

Now climb down. Each step sounds lower.

Next, a sound can be loud or soft.

We draw a soft sound as a small ball.

We draw a loud sound as a big ball.

Now it gets louder and louder. Watch it grow.

Louder is not higher. It stays on one step.

This sound is high and soft. Listen.

This sound is low and loud. Listen.

So sounds can be high or low, loud or soft.
