Drop any PDF into the importer and we extract the text, run OCR if needed, and produce a fully-editable doc. The original is saved alongside, so you can always show students the printable version.
What you'll be able to do
- Convert any PDF into an editable Office doc
- Edit the result and re-send to your class
- Keep the original PDF as the printable version
Step by step
- 1
Click 'Import PDF' on the Office Suite hub
It's the rose-tinted card on the create row.
- 2
Drop your file
Drag a PDF onto the dropzone. Up to 25 MB and 50 pages.
- 3
Wait for OCR
Text PDFs convert in seconds. Scans take 10–30 seconds while we OCR the pages. You can rename the doc while you wait.
- 4
Edit & assign
When it's done, you land in the Doc editor with the content already inserted. Edit, then send to your class as you would any other Office doc.
OCR isn't perfect on hand-written notes
Cursive and untidy handwriting may import imperfectly. The original PDF is always preserved alongside the editable copy, so you can fall back to it.
