Quadrilateral explorer

Drag corners. Watch the math.

Drag any of the four vertices and watch sides, angles, diagonals, perimeter, and area update in real time. The tool classifies the shape — square, rectangle, rhombus, parallelogram, trapezoid, kite — as you go.

What you'll be able to do

  • Demonstrate quadrilateral classification interactively
  • Show how angle and side measurements relate
  • Reset to preset shapes for a clean start

Step by step

  1. 1

    Open the tool

Sidebar → Teaching tools → Quadrilateral.

  2. 2

    Pick a starting shape

Square, rectangle, rhombus, parallelogram, trapezoid, kite — any of the buttons sets the four vertices for you.

  3. 3

    Drag a vertex

Watch the side lengths, interior angles, diagonals, perimeter, and area update as you drag. The tool re-classifies the shape on every drag.

  4. 4

    Toggle layers

Hide / show angles, sides, or diagonals to focus the class on one property at a time.
